C2C Crochet for Beginners: How to Corner-to-Corner (Free Guide)
Corner-to-corner crochet, or C2C, builds a blanket on the diagonal using little blocks. It is the foundation of pixel-style graphgan designs and it is far easier than it looks. Here is everything a beginner needs.
How C2C works
Each block is a chain-3 and three double crochet. You increase one block per row until you reach the widest point, then decrease back down to the opposite corner.
The increase rows
- Row 1: make one block.
- Row 2: turn, chain 6, make a block, then join a second block into the previous row.
- Keep adding one block each row as the triangle grows.
The decrease rows
Once your work is as wide as you want, you begin decreasing at the start of each row until a single block remains in the final corner.
